Privacy Policy
RXGE Auto ("we", "us") is a car service tracking app operated from Nairobi, Kenya. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. You can contact us at support@rxgeauto.com.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, so we cannot read it) and your display name.
- Settings: your unit, currency and notification preferences.
- Vehicle data you enter: make, model, plate number, year, mileage, fuel type, colour, VIN, and a driver's name and contact if you add one.
- Service records you enter: service logs (type, cost, date, mileage, notes), modifications, and reminders.
- Vehicle document details you enter: registration, insurance provider, policy number and expiry, NTSA inspection expiry, tyre, oil and battery details.
- Subscription data: your plan, its expiry date, and payment status and references.
- Technical data: basic server logs, such as IP address and request time, kept by our infrastructure providers for security and troubleshooting.
We do not collect your precise location or your contacts. We do not show ads and we do not sell your personal data. If we add features that collect more data, we will update this policy first.
How we use it
- To provide the app: store your vehicles and records, calculate totals, and show reminders.
- To apply your plan's limits and process subscriptions.
- To answer support requests and keep the service secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the app:
- Supabase: database, authentication and server functions.
- Paystack: card and mobile payments on our website. Paystack handles your card and M-Pesa details; we do not receive or store them.
- Google Play: app distribution and, where offered, in-app subscription billing.
- RevenueCat: subscription management, where in-app subscriptions are offered.
- Make.com: automation that processes payment events, such as an email address, plan and payment reference.
- Zoho Mail: handling support emails.
These providers may process data on servers outside Kenya. We also disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data until you delete your account. Deleting your account in the app removes your account, cars, service logs, modifications, reminders and document details. Payment records may be kept as the law requires, and backups, where kept, are overwritten on a rolling basis. To delete your account, see how to delete your account.
Your rights
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. You can export a car's service history from the app as CSV or PDF. Email us to make a request. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke).
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and protected by access controls, so each account can only read its own records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
RXGE Auto is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email.
